Utah Wins Award for Outstanding Achievement in Web Development

Utah.gov has once again been selected to receive a WebAward for Outstanding Achievement in Web Development from the national organization, Web Marketing Association. The Utah Division of Technology Services was recognized for Utah.gov and the state’s online digital government services that help Utahns complete important state business.

“Utah has seen record numbers of online government transactions performed this this year,” said David Fletcher, the state’s Chief Technology Officer. “The current circumstances have required us to not only ensure the existing digital services for Utahns perform at a high-level, but also expand the number of transactions that can be processed outside government offices.”

For 23 years, the WebAwards competition has set industry benchmarks for the best online digital experiences. The goal of the WebAwards is to provide a forum to recognize the people and organizations responsible for developing some of the most effective experiences today. Independent expert judges from around the world review digital services in 96 industries. The best are recognized with a WebAward.

“We love to see the state receive recognition like this,” said Brett Stott, General Manager of NIC Utah, the state’s partner in developing digital services partner. “We have always worked hard to provide the very best online services for residents of Utah through our partnership with the state.”
