In accordance with Utah Code 63F-1-104(4), the Division of Technology Services (DTS) is required to conduct an information security assessment of state data systems every two years.
The required 2019 information security assessment will be completed by DTS security and internal audit personnel. The DTS team will coordinate with your agency information security personnel to complete the assessment by October 1. We anticipate it will take a total of four hours to complete the assessment. We will be following the Department of Homeland Security’s Cyber Resilience Review guidelines.
The results of the assessment will then be validated by the Department of Homeland Security by December 1.
Individual reports will be issued to appropriate executive branch agencies when the third-party validation is complete. The DTS team will review results with your agency information security personnel.
