DTS faced significant and unique challenges in managing cloud and infrastructure costs, primarily due to the intricate nature of our public sector environment. Systemic issues within our previous cloud bill-back processes and tools directly impacted our ability to accurately allocate costs, maintain financial transparency for taxpayer dollars, and generate reliable reports for public accountability. This ultimately led to a lack of confidence in our primary cloud reporting, visualization, and cost optimization tool, severely hindering effective financial oversight and strategic decision-making regarding cloud resource utilization.
DTS implemented IBM Cloudability as our core Cloud Technology Business Management (TBM) solution, directly targeting each of the challenges outlined above. This strategic move allowed us to shift from a reactive, manual approach to a proactive, automated, and insights-driven one.
