On April 3, 2023, Utah Medicaid replaced the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) with PRISM. This project has taken several years of hard work and dedication. In PRISM’s first few weeks in operation we have seen great success. Priority issues right now include getting accurate eligibility files to managed care plans, processing submitted provider enrollment forms, and processing lab claims. The system has already started processing claims from the “freeze” period and has paid tens of thousands of claims totaling millions of dollars.
