New Chief Enterprise Architect is Joe Jackson

We are pleased to announce that Joe Jackson is the new Chief Enterprise Architect for DTS. Joe will be working closely with Dave Fletcher on technical architecture standards and solutions while also supporting the Architecture Review Board. He will be coordinating with IT architects across DTS to implement new technologies and coordinate integration and support at the statewide level.

Joe left the private sector eight years ago to join the State of Utah. His time with the state has focused on ensuring government agencies have access to timely, complete, and accurate data to support their organizational objectives. He accomplished this with his teams through implementing process improvements, automation, system enhancements, and electronic data exchange. Joe previously managed the Division of Disease Control and Prevention Informatics Program at the Utah Department of Health where his team of DTS and UDOH staff maintained much of the core IT infrastructure for the COVID-19 response. His former roles in DTS include analyst, manager, lead application manager, and architect positions supporting DHHS and the single sign-on citizen and business portals. He applies technology and management experience along with degrees in biomedical engineering and business administration to improve the efficiency of service delivery.

We are excited to have Joe transition into his new role over the next few weeks. Congratulations Joe!
