Knowledge Services Contract

The State of Utah Department of Administrative Services, Division of Purchasing & General Services in cooperation with the Department of Technology Services has recently reviewed the IT Consulting Services process and issued a Managed Services Provider for IT Staff Augmentation Services RFP on June 16th, 2016. After completing the evaluation process, Knowledge Services was awarded the Managed Services Provider (MSP) Contract # IT2462 on August 26th, 2016. Knowledge Services, with the support of a Vendor Management System (VMS) technology developed by dotStaff™, will manage the State of Utah’s IT Staff Augmentation Services Program. This program is going to play a big role in the State of Utah Executive Branch’s contracting method to acquire IT Staff Augmentation Services and fill future needs and resources.

The Knowledge Services MSP program is replacing the MSP pilot program and will continue to provide hiring managers the opportunity to bid additional consulting needs with existing IT consulting vendors with which they’ve historically had success, as well as, work with other existing vendors that were not currently available. Knowledge Services will provide State agencies and other eligible users with all the necessary tools to improve IT consulting services efficiency and provide both vendor partners and hiring managers with real time performance information. State agencies and their enrolled vendors will benefit by having improved visibility through a web-based time entry, time approval, requisition process, and streamlined invoicing.
