Adobe Creative Cloud applications are currently deployed with a serialized (embedded license key) deployment package in SCCM. On March 13, DTS will change to deploying these applications using a named user deployment in which users login to the Creative Cloud Desktop application with their @utah.gov email and password to access the applications.
This change will be beneficial in allowing users to update applications, and simplify the transferring of licenses from one user to another. With a named user deployment, a user is granted access to the purchased software via the Adobe Enterprise Dashboard, and can then install and update the programs on their machines without the need of Desktop Support. Managing Creative Cloud applications via the Enterprise Dashboard and the CC Desktop app will also help when it is time to renew the Adobe subscriptions in that privileges to use software can easily be continued, transferred, or taken away if no longer desired.
