If your account is just locked because the password was typed incorrectly (ie. wrong case usage).
- Click “Switch User” and then select the “Self Service User.”
- At the “Arches Logon Screen” > type in your user name and the correct password.
- Important: After about two full minutes, both UtahID and AD accounts will be unlocked without additional user intervention.
- Log off of the “mini portal” > select “Switch User” > select user account and logon.
- If you are still unable to login please follow the instructions below to reset your password.

Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete to unlock computer then

Select
Self-Service Password Reset -
Click on Forgot Password?

Enter requested information and press Continue

Answer Security Question, if you do not know the answer, please contact your Help Desk and ask for assistance in getting your security answer.
Answer the question and press Continue

Your recovery code will be sent to either your @utah.gov address, cell phone number or secondary email address, which you can access by clicking on the Email Access tab to the right of the Password Recovery tab

Login to your personal email to get the password recovery code

Type in your code and press Continue

Type in your new password and press Finish
Passwords must be at least 8 characters long and have at least 3 of the 4 following categories:
- Uppercase
- Lowercase
- Number
- Special Character

You have now completed resetting your password

Close the window by clicking the Red X in upper right corner.

Click on Switch User

Select Other and type in your User ID and new password
