Online Government Continues to Grow in 2008

In 2008, the state portal, Utah.gov, averaged over one million unique visits each month, processed over 10 million online transactions, and successfully launched over 75 new online services. Utah.gov receives the most visitors, per capita, of any government website in the U.S. More than one million visitors come each month to Utah.gov due to an array of state, federal, and local government services available on the site. Last year, 49,053 of Utah citizens renewed their driver’s license online and 776,894 renewed their vehicles online.  In addition, 90% of business owners choose to renew their businesses online.
