For Standards Information, Check the Technical Architecture Wiki
Salt Lake City, UT – April 2, 2009 – A new wiki, developed by the Department of Technology Services provides detailed information on the State of Utah’s technical architecture standards. The wiki is part of a more comprehensive effort to optimize the State’s information technology operations.
The wiki categorizes standards based on a state-adopted set of TOGAF. TOGAF is an industry standard architecture framework that may be used freely by any organization wishing to develop an information systems architecture for use within that organization. The State’s framework is also aligned with the NASCIO Enterprise Architecture Toolkit.
The Technical Architecture Wiki groups standards and policies into eight architecture categories for easy access: Application, Collaboration, Data & Information, Enterprise Management, Network & Telecom, Platform, Security, and Systems Integration. Architecture policies and standards are approved and reviewed by the DTS Architecture Review Board (ARB) which meets on a bi-monthly basis. Agencies and DTS personnel may submit requests to the ARB to arb@utah.gov. ![]()
