Welcome

  • DTS Pillars

Mark VanOrden, CIO and Executive Director, has established four pillars that represent the main areas of focus for the department in order to support our partner agencies with world class technology and excellent customer service.

  • The Department of Technology Services (DTS) provides Information Technology services to the Executive Branch Agencies. DTS was established in the 2005 Legislative Session and consolidated all agency IT services and 900 personnel into one agency, providing a flexible and responsive organization model.

The main purpose of DTS is to enable the state agencies’ business processes through the use of technology by increasing efficiency (cost savings) and effectiveness (increased service).

An increase in online services from 200 in 2004 to over 1,000 in 2012 provides Utah citizens easy access to government services..
