Web Standards


The State Web Standards and Guidelines document was developed in collaboration with Web developers across State agencies and in cooperation with key Web site contractors. The Web Standards document is designed for continuous revision and is on a review cycle every six months. Comments and suggestions are welcome and may be submitted by e-mail to Robert Woolley or Frank Stehno.

The Web Standards and Guidelines document is available in both PDF and HTML formats and is searchable using the Web Standards Custom Search Engine that appears on this page.

    This document is a collaborative effort by the Web development community of the State. The document specifies required, recommended, and guideline statements on a wide variety of considerations, concerns, and accessibility issues for design and development of State Web sites.

Web Standards Custom Search Engine

The Web Standards CSE provides a customized Google search engine for the State Web Standards and Guidelines document and a secondary search for all major Web standards sites listed in the document. Utah specific results are listed first, if they are referenced in the document, followed by information on the same topic from other specified sites.

Web Standards Comments and Suggestions

State employees are encouraged to submit comments and suggestions for additions, changes, and other improvements to the Web Standards and Guidelines document. These suggestions may be submitted using the form or directly by e-mail to Robert Woolley or Frank Stehno or ARB@utah.gov.
